David, these are stunning. I'm taking up photography now, so I'm planting a garden this spring to photograph. I can't wait.

Enjoy the rest of your time there!

Hi Kim!

Thanks, I'm really proud of some of these photos. I'm due for another photo-taking afternoon trip. There's lots to see around here. The winter garden is walking distance from me.

Ween is pretty memorable, I'm not surprised she hasn't forgotten it. Especially that fake dog bark, and the guy who goes "uhhhhhh."

I don't know if you've seen it, but the current post on Raptitude is a list of some of my favorite songs. Part one is up right now, Part two arrives monday, and it contains a Ween song you'll definitely recognize (Angell too probably)

Good to hear from you, I'll post more pictures soon.

Oh David! These are breathtaking photos...I see the macro style is still working well for you.
My fave would have to be your 9th photo of what appear to be gorgeous purple orchids. That's really cool to hear that columbine (aka honeysuckle, I prefer that name) is tennis ball sized over on the other side of the world. I have seen them in my parent's garden in various shades but never anything close to that size. :)
Your Winnipeg friends miss you and wish you and your backpack safe and happy travels.
At bedtime yesterday Angell shared that she remembers being little and sitting in the back of your car listening to that funny Ween song with the barking dogs and weird guy's voice--haha! I thought you might get a laugh.
Warm hugs and wishes,
Kim Lianne and Angell Boo too

The only camera I have is a little Canon compact. Yes I`m having a good time. I really should get busier posting photos, because I have thousands by now.

Ah we have columbines back home, but they are always so tiny and they aren`t colored like that. This one was as big as a tennis ball.

Thanks Brenda! I`ll probably do another one of these by the end of it. I have quite a few flower pics. And a lot of tree pics.

Hi, David. Gorgeous photos! I love macro flower photography. I always take pix of the flowers I see on our trips. I could spend hours doing it, or looking at the resulting photos. I don't even have a very good camera. (What are you using?) Hope you're enjoying yourself immensely!

Oh... and I think your favorite flower is called a columbine. : )

O. M. G. Your photos are beautiful! I especially like that red and purple dangly thing from Thailand. I keep fresh flowers on my table when I'm working so you know I love flowers. Thanks for sharing these. If I were traveling I'd be doing the same thing, taking pictures of flowers. Excellent!
